Description
Remington 700 Long Range
The Remington Model 700 Long Range Bolt-Action Rifle is enhanced to hit targets at ranges extending to the horizon. At the heart of this specialized long-range rifle is the famous Model 700 action that has been proven for reliability and precision accuracy in combat with the U.S. Army’s M24 sniper rifle.
The Model 700 Long Range rifle comes with a Bell and Carlson M40 tactical stock, made of solid urethane combined with aramid, graphite, and fiberglass. The barreled receiver is bedded with an aluminum block, and the heavy-contoured barrel is free-floated, providing excellent accuracy and minimal shift in zero caused by changes in the environment.

The non-reflective stock and exterior metal blend in with a wide range of environments. An externally adjustable X-Mark Pro® trigger allows shooters to find the desired weight-of-pull according to their preference.
The 2-position safety at the rear of the action is quick to operate with the thumb, and can also be gripped with the forefinger and thumb and moved extra quietly to the fire position. The Remington Model 700 Long Range Bolt-Action Rifle has a hinged floorplate for safe and easy unloading of the magazine, and comes drilled and tapped for scope mounts. An extra sling swivel stud on the fore-end provides an attachment point for a bipod.

Remington unveiled the Model 700 in 1962 (although the bulk of the design work was done in the ’40s with the 721 and 722 series rifles), and it has been making them ever since. The Remington 700 is popular for a lot of reasons, chief among them being the performance offered for the price. There have been a lot of Remington Model 700 variants over the years, but the one in current production that is my clear favorite is the Remington Model 700 Long Range chambered in .30-06.
The Long Range Remington Model 700 comes only in a long action and has a Bell & Carlson M40 tactical stock, although it’s not really tactical; it’s just a beefy hunting stock with a slightly square forend that rides bags and other supports well.

The comb is as high as Remington can make it without interfering with bolt travel, so we have our best chance of getting a consistent cheekweld with this model without adding the weight and expense of an adjustable cheekpiece. buy Remington 700 Long Range in Legal Gun Shop.
This subtle detail is an important one for helping us get maximum accuracy out of our rifle. Without consistent head placement on the stock, our accuracy degrades. If we need a little more comb height, there are a number of different stock packs that can be accommodated with negligible expense. In addition to the well-apportioned size of the stock, it also has an aluminum bedding block that provides a very stable foundation for the action.

The bedding block runs from underneath the chamber to the back tang and is surrounded by fiberglass. It puts a solid chunk of aluminum between the action and the triggerguard. This makes it very difficult for the action to move under recoil and, once torqued into place, minimizes point-of-impact shifts that can result when a rifle is roughly handled.
In addition to its development as a hunting rifle, the Model 700 also provided the basis for military and police sniper rifles, starting with the M40 rifle in 1966, which was initially ordered by the United States Marine Corps. The US Army adopted the M24 Sniper Weapon System in 1986. Where to Buy Remington 700 Long Range near me in USA.
